The Ridgewood Fire Department has obtained Fire Sentry Smoke Detectors donated by Kidde through the WABC Operation Save-A-Life Program for Ridgewood Residents. These detectors are being made available at no cost to Senior Citizens living on a fixed income or families with low incomes. Please contact Fire Chief James Bombace at 201-444-8822 if you would like to receive these free Smoke Detectors for your home.

If you are unable to install these Smoke Detectors in your home the Fire Department would be happy to install these detectors for you.

  • Loud Piercing 85 Decibel Horn - Alerts you when Alarm is Activated.
  • Flashing Red Light - Shows Decector is working.
